Each day, add fresh milkweed leaves and take away the old leaves. The caterpillar will need 20 to 30 leaves over the next few days. Make sure you also have a twig in the jar. Why will it need a twig? 4. Check on the caterpillar often. Keep track of its molts and any other changes.
